Bellagio 2002

Dog-Show – again direction North-Italy, this time without Newfies with „bathing suits“, but unfortunately also without camera –forgotten in the hurry of leaving the house –this time with 2 Basenjis in the luggage.

Bellagio organized the 61st Int. Dog Show and might be thereby one of the oldest place in Italy for Dog-Shows .

At the promenade of the Lago di Como and in the Public Gardens the rings were built up and together with this lovely surrounding it was an unforgettable picture. This atmosphere was also passed over to all exhibitors, to judges and visitors. Which value one measured to this exhibition was shown by the level of   the invited judges, they came from  8 different countries. 941 inscribed dogs – of it 13 Newfies, however only 10 were presented. Judge was Mr. Mario Perricone.

Unfortunately the judgeing of Newfies and Basenjis were at the same time, so that I didn`t see anything of the Newfie-judging – at least my Basenjis fulfilled all my expectations with CAC,CACIB, BOS and BOB

It was an extremely well organized exhibition in an impressing landscape with fantastic food!

I`m sure I will be there again next year!
