Developing a taste by Bonnie we started to get information about Newfoundlands. At the World-Dog-Show 1998 in Helsinki we inspected the Neufis very closely there. We found considerable differences most of all in the head-type and soon we found out that the a little heavier type, which we liked so much, came form the American line most of the time. Thanks to e-mail I got in touch with several American breeders and I had a long phone call with Betty McDonnell, who gave me the tip with Manlio Massa in Italy. Calling him was the next thing to do. He wanted to get to know us first and so we met him on the occasion of the Special-Show in Putte/Belgium for the first time. Obviously we did not make a too bad impression because soon afterwards we got our Laura, a true gold coin in looks and character.
