As years before with the Basenjis we had
two handsome Newfoundland ladies, now we wanted also a young man. There were
many phone calls, accidental meetings in Palermo and e-mailing with Manlio Massa
and – finally – in March 2002 Jürgen was able to pick up our Lele in Italy.
The first baptism of fire – called show –was the Special-Show of the SAT in
Castelletto/Italy in May. On the first day 2. place among the male/youth, at the
second day even 1. place! We were more than happy, especially since Lele
obviously enjoyed the show very much and he presented himself very good. At the
moment Lele is still wearing his “swim-shorts”, meaning summer-fur, but in
autumn it will start again.
